Liverpool fans thrilled by ‘absolutely massive’ Sky Sports update
Liverpool supporters are thrilled as Sky Sports has confirmed that Diogo Jota has been back in full training this week ahead of their upcoming Champions League fixture against Girona on Tuesday (10 December) night.
The 28-year-old will not feature in the European fixture as Arne Slot didn’t name the Portugal international in his squad to fly out to Spain, but he could be an option for their upcoming fixture against Fulham on Saturday (14 December).
The striker has been unavailable since Liverpool’s 2-1 victory against Chelsea on 20 October after Tosin Adaraiboyo landed on him awkwardly, causing an injury.
Jota has remained in England and will have the opportunity to continue training and pushing back to full fitness as he aims to aid the Reds’ campaign in all competitions.
Jota has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season for the Merseyside giants, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
His recent muscle injury led to Jota missing out on nine matches across all competitions, but Liverpool remains competitive in them all.
Liverpool fans are excited to see Diogo Jota return
Seeing Jota back in training is something that left supporters buzzing as they believe he is the “best finisher” at the club and someone who could have a “big day” in the title race this season.
