Liverpool fans told to thank Jordan Henderson as Jude Bellingham transfer ‘almost certain’
Jordan Henderson will have played a significant role if Jude Bellingham signs for Liverpool.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s future.
Sources told this site on Saturday (10 December) that Liverpool were close to securing the sensational signing of Bellingham in the summer window.

It is understood that the midfielder’s father, Mark, had been convinced that a move to Merseyside was the ideal next step in his career – and a deal was “virtually done”.
A full agreement was not struck and Bellingham’s price tag has ballooned again ahead of a transfer showdown in the summer of 2023 – with Man City and Paris Saint-Germain among the other interested clubs.
McManus also claims Henderson has played a significant role in helping to get a potential deal done.
“There will have been a few players in his ear,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“Bellingham had a fantastic World Cup and I think he is ready for a big move to a big club. Liverpool seem to be leading the charge and I think he would be ideal for them.
“He could go and play in that team for the next 15 years. Jordan Henderson was definitely chatting him up behind the scenes but I think some other players will have been as well.
“I think he is almost certain. I said Liverpool were frontrunners, they are definitely in the mix to get him. He would be perfect, he’s exactly what they need.

“He could be the next long-term player there, the next Steven Gerrard.
“Liverpool fans are desperate for him.”
