Kieran Maguire: Liverpool well placed to ‘go beyond’ £217m after Ben Latty deal completed
Liverpool are well placed to “go beyond” £217million in annual commercial revenue with Ben Latty at the helm.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Latty’s return to Anfield as commercial director.
Liverpool announced on Thursday (24 February) that Latty had ended his spell at Bristol Sport to re-join the club.

He worked for Liverpool in various commercial roles for eight years before leaving just over a year ago.
The Merseysiders revealed annual commercial revenues of £217m in their latest set of accounts, a £200,000 upswing on the previous financial year.
And Maguire forecasts that they will be looking to boost that figure even further after Latty’s return.
“Sometimes you have got to come back to what you know,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“Liverpool must hold him in very high regard or they wouldn’t have re-recruited him.
“He has had a chance to recharge his batteries and find out how other relationships within the commercial sphere operate.
“Now, he is in a position to transfer those talents and experiences back to Liverpool.
“Their commercial income is their biggest driver at the moment. Commercial income is the same as last season.
“But given that the megastore was closed for almost the whole year, they are very happy with that.
“I would anticipate that they will go beyond that figure as normality resumes this year.”

Latty replaces Matt Scammell who left for a senior position at Formula E in January.
Liverpool posted a total loss of £4.8m for the Covid-hit 2020-21 financial year.
