Liverpool news: Agbonlahor destroys Fabinho – ‘My Dad moves quicker’
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Dad moves quicker than Fabinho after his “jaded” performance as Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Man City on Sunday (10 April).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Man City were the better team at the Etihad as they won the midfield battle.
According to sofascore, Fabinho, 28, won just 45 per cent of his duels and ended the game with a pass completion rate of 76 per cent.
He was at fault as Kevin De Bruyne eased past him before firing home the game’s first goal after just five minutes.
“For me, Man City were the better team,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley
“They switched off a couple of times. Kyle Walker is an outstanding right-back but maybe he will be kicking himself with how he switched off for Mane’s goal.
“Liverpool’s midfield was poor, they lacked legs. Fabinho was running like my Dad in centre-midfield. I’ve never seen anything like that. I thought he was more mobile but he looked tired and jaded. He let the midfield down.
“Henderson did Ok but couldn’t get involved in the game. Thiago did some nice passes but wasn’t mobile enough.
“Matip has been good but he looked like he couldn’t run either. Liverpool’s defence looked very, very open.

“It was like they were unaware of the passing techniques of Man City and how they opened up. Trent Alexander-Arnold kept getting done in behind, Robertson too.
“It was a game that Man City will be kicking themselves that they don’t win.”
