Liverpool news: Agbonlahor issues Mohamed Salah bombshell – ‘I’ve heard from a good source’
Gabby Agbonlahor has “heard from a good source” Mohamed Salah’s new Liverpool contract is “100 per cent” about money.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Liverpool are stalling because they are worried the 29-year-old slowing down.
Salah told FourFourTwo magazine last week (22 April) his new deal is not all about the money.

His current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2023.
“I’ve heard from a good source that it’s about money,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I think Mo Salah wants what he is worth. He’s looking at De Bruyne who is on £300,000-a-week, £350,000-a-week. He’s looking at what he’s giving and nobody is near him in the Premier League.
“It’s about money but it’s about what he deserves. If Mo Salah thought he deserved £100,000-a-week he would ask for that. If he thinks he deserves £350,000-a-week or £400,000-a-week then I’m sure that’s what he wants.
“There’s talk of Haaland coming in on £500,000-a-week, maybe more.
“With the numbers Salah puts up, he thinks he deserves it.
“Liverpool are thinking at nearly 30, do they want to give him a three or four-year deal on that money? Will he slow down in a few years? Clubs think like that when you get to 30.
“Salah holds all the cards. If Liverpool don’t give him exactly what he wants I’m sure he’ll leave.
“It’s 100 per cent about the money and maybe also about the length of the contract.

“It doesn’t look like he’s slowing down but sometimes when you get to 30 it can happen overnight.
“Maybe Liverpool are looking at that and might just want him to have a two-year deal and not a four-year deal.”
