Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah tipped to sign for mystery club after ‘big’ update on talks – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Mohamed Salah to join a European heavyweight if he is not offered a satisfactory new contract by Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Liverpool have some “big contracts” to sort out but there is no rush.
A recruitment source told Football Insider last Saturday (12 March) the 19-year-old will consider joining a Premier League club if he cannot reach an agreement with the Reds.

He is out of contract at Anfield at the end of next season and Jurgen Klopp revealed, as quoted by ESPN earlier this month (9 March), the ball is in Salah’s court.
“I don’t see him going to another Premier League club, I don’t think he would,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I could see him going abroad somewhere. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, both are in that phase of their career where they want to stay at Liverpool but if they are not given the right contract, they will walk away and try a different league and a different challenge.
“Liverpool have got some big contracts they’ve got to give out but I don’t think there’s any rush.
“They will know both players will want to stay at the club. It’s something you can sort out in the summer, get these two months of football out the way.
“In the summer, with a year left on their contracts, then get it wrapped up.
“If they can’t agree terms, then I’m sure Salah and Mane will leave if they don’t get what they feel they deserve.”

Salah has scored 153 times in 239 games across all competitions for Liverpool and has established himself as one of the club’s all-time greats.
This season, he has 38 goal contributions in 36 appearances across all competitions.
In other news, a Liverpool 26-year-old is telling the club he wants to quit this summer.
