Liverpool news: Pundit issues ‘massive’ claim after Virgil van Dijk reveal – ‘you’ll get in trouble’
Liverpool “will come unstuck“ in their pursuit of an historic quadruple if they look too far ahead, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted it’s “massively important” for Jurgen Klopp’s side to take the remainder of the season one game at a time.
The Reds kept their hopes of a quadruple alive with a 3-2 win over Man City in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Speaking to talkSPORT (18 April), Virgil van Dijk refused to be drawn on the prospect of his side winning four major trophies this season.
The centre-half claimed attentions are now solely on Tuesday’s Premier League fixture against Manchester United.
When asked how important a game by game mentality is to winning trophies, Campbell told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “It is massively important.
“This Liverpool side are used to working in that way. They have the history and resume now to take it one game at a time.

“It is about concentrating, winning and moving on. Looking too far ahead will only get you in trouble. You will come unstuck.
“They have to keep that run going until the end of the season and hope that City will drop points. It is a titanic task for both sides. They are the best teams around at the moment. The Premier League loves rivalries like this.”
In other news, a pundit has claimed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ‘fed up’ at Liverpool and could exit after development on Saturday.
