Liverpool news: Pundit issues verdict on Kostas Tsimikas exit amid ‘other offers’ claim
Kostas Tsimikas will see “no need” to leave Liverpool despite being well behind Andy Robertson in the pecking order, according to Danny Mills.
The former England defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 25-year-old is not likely to have many “other offers” due to his limited action for the Anfield club.
Tsimikas grabbed an assist in his seventh Premier League start of the season against Norwich on Saturday (19 February).
Speaking to club media (21 February), the left-back said his battle with Robertson gives him “an extra boost to be the best”, and insisted he is “enjoying life” in England.
Mills suggested the Greece international may be content with his backup status at Liverpool.
“He’s a senior player at 25,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“Where’s he going to go to match his wages or his ambition? It’s a difficult situation, but it all comes down to the individual.
“He might be happy enough just being a backup at Liverpool. There’ll be plenty of trophies and big win bonuses.
“I doubt he’ll have many other offers out there because he hasn’t played enough consistent football for other teams to have a proper look at him.
“He’s probably thinking: ‘I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, there’s no need for me to leave.’”

Tsimikas has contributed three assists in 25 appearances since joining from Olympiakos in August 2020.
Liverpool face Chelsea in the League Cup final on Sunday and are just three points adrift of Man City atop the Premier League.
