Liverpool news: Pundit ‘surprised’ by Luis Diaz and teammate after development
Paul Robinson is “surprised” by how little time it has taken Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate to settle in at Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League goalkeeper claimed “the pair have been phenomenal” in their first season at Anfield.
Diaz and Konate have starred for Jurgen Klopp’s side this term, with both players unbeaten in every game they have started for the Reds.

Konate joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in July of last year.
Diaz moved to Anfield in a £49million deal in January after Tottenham saw their attempt to sign the winger hijacked.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the duo’s start to life on Merseyside, Robinson said: “They have both settled in so quickly.
“I think it’s caught most people by surprise.
“We often see players taking months or even a year to acclimatise to the Premier League. It’s so different from the other leagues. The speed and the pace of the game is completely different to what players are used to.
“Both players have come from a different country as well so there is upheaval with your family. Some players adapt quicker than others and those two have done just that.
“The pair of them have been phenomenal, especially Luis Diaz. You run out of superlatives for him. He is in a different league.”

Diaz has contributed four goals and three assists in 18 appearances for Liverpool.
He grabbed an assist on Sunday as Klopp’s side beat Everton 2-0 at Anfield.
