Liverpool preparing for Mohamed Salah exit after update on ‘world-class’ Paulo Dybala – Kenny
Liverpool are preparing for Mohamed Salah’s departure amid links with Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Salah’s “uncertain” future”.
According to Tutto Mercato (26 January), Dybala’s situation is being closely monitored by Liverpool as his contract talks with current club Juventus come to a head.
The forward’s current deal expires at the end of the season, with Jurgen Klopp’s side currently free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement.
This came before Liverpool announced the signing of Luis Diaz from Porto on Sunday (30 January).
With Mo Salah out of contract next summer (2023) and his future unresolved, Kenny claims Liverpool are preparing for his potential exit.
“Liverpool have to prepare for Salah to go,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think that’s what they are doing. Obviously, they don’t want to lose him.
“He’s probably the best player in the world at the moment. But if they can’t agree a deal then plans have to be made.
“Diaz has arrived and he’s a quality signing. Dybala could be another one at the end of the season.
“He’s one of those world-class stars you want to see in the Premier League.
“If Salah stays, great, Liverpool will be in a great position. But there is a real chance he goes.
“It would be wrong for the club to not at least look at potential replacements.”

Salah told GQ on 11 January that he is not asking for “crazy stuff” in contract negotiations and insisted the situation is in the club’s hands.
As reported by the Telegraph on 13 January, Liverpool are unwilling to meet his salary demands.
In other news, West Ham have made contact about signing a Liverpool player in a last-gasp January deal.
