By Danny Wright
Liverpool are looking to bolster their midfielder options in the summer with bids for Ivan Perisic and Leandro Paredes, according to a report.
Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb reports that Jurgen Klopp is looking to bring the Serie A sensations to Anfield for a combined fee of £52million.
Inter Milan’s Perisic would cost Liverpool £30million, while a bid of £22million is expected to be required for Roma’s Paredes.
Perisic is a long-term target of Klopp and Liverpool were reported by the Daily Star to be in a race with Manchester United and Chelsea for the 28-year-old in January.
The Croatian international, who plays on the left wing, is one of the stand out players at the San Siro and has scored nine goals and contributed with seven assists in 33 appearances in all competitions this season.

He had spells at Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg before he moved to Milan in 2015.
According to the Sun, Liverpool also tried to sign Paredes in the winter transfer window.
The Argentinian defensive midfielder has been a rock in the heart of Roma’s team this season, making 35 appearances.
The 22-year-old is yet to earn an international cap but he has only recently made his mark at the Stadio Olimpico after spells at Boca Juniors and Empoli.
Football Insider Verdict
Liverpool already have a lot of attacking talent with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane, but Perisic has been a long-term Klopp target and he would definitely add a new dimension to the team. As for Paredes, Klopp definitely needs to stop his team leaking goals, and the Argentinian would be a great asset, especially as contract talks with Emre Can are still a long way from being resolved. If Klopp could get them both it would be a real coup and it would definitely strengthen his team ahead of next season.
