‘Biggest disgrace ever’ – Pundit issues verdict after Liverpool sources update on new Mohamed Salah deal
It “would be the biggest disgrace ever” if Liverpool do not offer Mohamed Salah the contract he so richly deserves.
That is according to former Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the future of the “Premier League’s best player”.
Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have been unable to tie down Salah, who wants £500,000-a-week to stay at Anfield, following months of talks.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that club chiefs still believe an agreement can be secured with their star man ahead of the summer.
Kenny says the longer there is a stalemate the more that fans of the new League Cup champions should be concerned.
“You look at the signing of Luis Diaz, who is a brilliant player, and you think, ‘has he been signed as protection in case Salah or Sadio Mane go?'” Kenny told Football Insider.
“That’s smart business as the club are preparing for the future with a younger player who is clearly going to make a massive impact for a long time.
“But is he going to score 40 goals a season like Salah? That’s unlikely. Liverpool can’t afford to lose a player with that goals potential. They don’t come around very often.
“He’s the best player in the Premier League and failing to agree a new contract with him would be the biggest disgrace ever.
“There’s no way Jurgen Klopp doesn’t want him there for the next three or four years. He knows he’s irreplaceable and he’s the best around. Compromise and agree a deal.”

Salah has increased his bargaining power with his extraordinary performances this season.
In , scoring 23 goals and supplying nine assists.
In other news, Liverpool are well on course to make extraordinary £550million-plus announcement.
