Kieran Maguire fumes at ‘lies’ as Liverpool statement issued – ‘they’re going to be exposed’
Uefa appear determined to proliferate “lies” about Liverpool fans – but they may well be “exposed” soon as further evidence comes to light.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest details surrounding the Champions League final saga.
Liverpool fans appeared to be the victims of heavy-handed policing in the build-up to the clash against Real Madrid in Paris last month (28 May).

Video evidence shows pepper spray and tear gas being used indiscriminately, but Uefa and the French authorities have since been accused of orchestrating a cover-up.
And, as relayed by Inside World Football on Wednesday (22 June), European football’s governing body have doubled down on their stance in a statement given to the French senate.
Uefa director-general Martin Kallen repeatedly blamed counterfeit tickets for the chaos outside the Stade de France.
But Maguire is optimistic that the full picture is beginning to emerge and that Liverpool fans will soon be exonerated.
“They appear to be trying to tell a lie so much that people think it’s the truth,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“This appears to be Uefa’s approach. We are seeing this in broader areas in society. Trying to identify who have been affected is going to be very, very challenging.
“However, what Liverpool have been very, very good at doing is gathering evidence on behalf of the fanbase to ensure that they are exonerated.
“Some information is starting to emerge from the French authorities that, in terms of Uefa, you’d hope they are going to exposed.”

Liverpool lost the final in Paris 1-0.
Jurgen Klopp’s side kick-off their pre-season fixture programme ahead of 2022-23 against Man United in Bangkok on 12 July.
