Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho set for first XI next season under new manager – sources

Liverpool loanee Fabio Carvalho is set to play in the first XI next season under the new manager, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the attacker will return to Anfield in pre-season and try to impress the new boss.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Hull City, having spent the first half of the season on loan at RB Leipzig.

Carvalho has scored eight goals in 16 appearances for the Tigers in their push for a Championship play-off place.

O’Rourke told Football Insider that Hull would like to sign the player permanently, but cannot afford to carry out that deal.

He is starting to discover his best form with the Tigers, having previously struggled to impress at RB Leipzig.

But he will now have the opportunity to impress at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp’s successor, just like every other player at the club.

Sources told Football Insider in January that, despite being willing to let him leave on loan again, the Reds have high hopes for the attacker.
