Liverpool star Henderson told to ‘shut up’ and ‘go away’ by fuming pundit
Frank McAvennie has blasted Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson’s comments on the Premier League’s winter schedule.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, told the midfielder to keep quiet over his concerns about the festive schedule.
As quoted by Empire of the Kop (28 December) Henderson has called on his fellow professionals to “find a collaborative solution” to the UK’s traditional festive schedule.

He called for greater importance on player welfare amid the heavy fixture schedule.
McAvennie has been left baffled by the midfielder’s comments.
“I saw Henderson come out last week and say no one was looking after him and his mates,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Do me a favour, shut up, go away. I have no time for that. You are getting played damned good money for this.
“The schedule has been like that way before I played. It was there in the 50s and 60s.
“This isn’t a Premier League thing. Just get on with it, it’s part of football.
“I’m not a big fan of people complaining about it. It’s holiday time and the fans love it.
“Yes, it’s hard for the players. But I have no sympathy for some of these players who are complaining about anything when they earn millions.
“Some of the fans will be going home and not eating, it’s just not right.”

Liverpool’s Boxing Day game with Leeds was postponed.
Leicester then beat the Reds 1-0 on Tuesday night (28 December).
