Liverpool star ‘looking like Gareth Bale’ amid ‘outstanding’ display on international duty

One Liverpool star has started the international break in outstanding form for his country, as fans rave about his performance on social media.

The international break came at a good time for Liverpool, with Arne Slot’s side having suffered three straight defeats.

Liverpool’s 2-1 loss at Chelsea meant they surrendered first place to title rivals Arsenal by a point, with Reds hosting Man United at Anfield next.

Slot has faced defensive issues this season after Liverpool missed out on Marc Guehi in the summer transfer window, and the Dutchman is still looking for stability in his back four.

Conor Bradley stuns fans with Northern Ireland display

Slot signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer to replace the departed Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid.

However, Frimpong’s form has opened the door at right-back with Dominik Szoboszlai deputising in the position.

Conor Bradley missed his opportunity against Chelsea, and has not been able to take advantage of Frimpong’s form.

Bradley though has wowed Northern Ireland supporters on international duty following his performance against Slovakia in World Cup qualifying.

The 22-year-old was getting comparisons with Gareth Bale and Steven Gerrard for his display at right wing-back.

Conor Bradley outstanding that half,” one fan posted on social media.

Whilst another commented: “Conor Bradley absolutely superb.”

Conor Bradley is having a stormer for Northern Ireland against Slovakia tonight. Rampaging down the right hand side all evening,” said one impressed fan.

A fan sounded surprised by Bradley’s display: “This has been a staggeringly good half of football from Conor Bradley.”

Conor Bradley – World class!,” praised a supporter.

Whilst another posted: “Conor Bradley is a generational talent for Northern Ireland.”

Bradley display poses Arne Slot problem

Bradley’s performance as a wing-back may give Slot some thought over whether to use the defender further forward, like he’s done with Frimpong.

That though still leaves the issue at right-back with Szoboszlai more effective in midfield, and Liverpool’s lack of centre-back options means Slot cannot change to a back three.

For Northern Ireland, his display is one that will please Michael O’Neill and supporters that they still have a wonderful talent on their hands.
