Liverpool star Roberto Firmino could complete Saudi Arabia move after source’s ‘huge’ reveal – pundit

Alan Hutton has insisted Roberto Firmino still wants to “compete and challenge” at the top level when he leaves Liverpool.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested money will play a part in Firmino’s decision on his next club.

The 31-year-old revealed he will leave Anfield when his contract expires in the summer after nearly eight years on Merseyside.

On Sunday (12 March), Football Insider revealed that a Saudi Arabian club are submitting a “huge offer” to the Brazil international in a bid to beat Europe’s elite to his signature.

Last week (7 March), this site broke the news that Barcelona and Inter Milan have registered their interest in Firmino but face strong competition to land him.

When asked if Firmino is the kind of player who could be swayed by the money, Hutton told Football Insider:I think it would be part of it.

The money has to be right. I am talking any footballer, not just him. Financially, the package, the length of contract, is your family going to be happy there? That all comes into consideration.

“If it ticks all those boxes then I do not see why you wouldn’t.
