Liverpool tipped for ‘huge’ January after confirmed news from Kirkby – pundit
Frank McAvennie has insisted the mid-season Dubai training camp could help to turn the season around for Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said the Reds will benefit from the chance to bond and regroup ahead of the season restarting in January.
The Merseysiders will head to Dubai in December for a 12-day training camp where they will face Olympique Lyonnais and AC Milan in friendlies.

Speaking to club media (16 November), assistant manager Pep Lijnders insisted that the camp is all about fostering togetherness and team spirit on and off the pitch.
The club planned the camp 18 months ago to ensure the side will be training at the best elite facility.
When asked if training camps abroad are a real benefit to clubs, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I think so.
“Players go away to get a couple of weeks in the sunshine, for me there is nothing better than that. It freshens your legs.
“It depends how many players are away on international duty. If there are too many players from the club away then there is no point because it is team bonding as well.

“A team like Liverpool going to Dubai, I can understand that.
“The players get to spend time together and train together and it will be good for Liverpool because they need to get together and regroup and then go again in January. I think it can be huge for them.“
