Liverpool tipped to agree £100m+ Salah deal after update via Sky – pundit
Alex McLeish has tipped Mohamed Salah to sign a new contract and extend his stay with Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Rangers, Birmingham City and Scotland boss suggested that “reading between the lines” Salah is keen to stay at Anfield.
Football Insider revealed earlier this month (11 December) that Liverpool are increasingly hopeful of agreeing an extension with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season.

It is understood Salah is looking for a weekly wage of £500,000 on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
That would represent a £117milllion outlay over the course of the contract.
As quoted by Sky Sports last Sunday (19 December), Jurgen Klopp revealed there have been “good conversations” between player and club.
“They need to get it done,” McLeish told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“By all accounts, reading between the lines, the player is keen to stay on and extend his contract.
“I guess this will be in the discussion of all of the pubs in Liverpool if you’re a Red. They will be terrified about him leaving.
“I think it’s happening and the smart money is on him to stay.”
Salah told Sky Sports in October he was happy at Anfield and never wants to leave the club.

That has been reflected on the pitch with the 29-year-old’s 24 appearances across all competitions yielding 22 goals.
The Egypt star has also chipped in with nine assists as the Reds sit in second in the Premier League and remain in all cup competitions.
In other news, a finance guru has revealed Liverpool have ‘definitely’ held pre-January talks as a player revolt is expected.
