Liverpool tipped to sign new Divock Origi this summer after what I’ve seen recently – pundit
Alan Hutton has tipped Liverpool to sign a new centre-forward this summer to replace Divock Origi.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 27-year-old gives the Reds “something different” up front.
As revealed by Football Insider last month (23 March), Liverpool are set to let Origi leave on a free transfer this summer, with three contract offers on the table.

Despite playing a fringe role this season, Origi made a notable impact in his 30-minute cameo against Everton on Sunday, scoring Liverpool’s second in a 2-0 win.
Hutton insisted the Belgium international proved his worth to Jurgen Klopp against the Toffees as a “focal point” in attack.
He suggested the Reds would have to look to replace him with another natural number nine.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think when he goes, they will look to replace him. There’s no doubt about that.
“There will be a space within the team for somebody and they probably will look to someone like an Origi.
“If you look across the board – Salah, Mane, Jota, Firmino, Diaz – they’re all similar profiles. Yes, they’re different footed or whatever but the same type of player.
“Origi gives you something different, a focal point, a number nine. They can switch up their style of play, they can go straight into his chest and play from there if they need to.
“They don’t need to change their formation that often but when they do, he normally comes up with the goods. We’ve seen that. If he goes, I think they would bring in someone like him.”
Origi has made just six Premier League appearances this season, scoring three goals.
He has netted 41 times in 173 games for the Reds across all competitions.
