Liverpool told to replace Mohamed Salah straight away after source’s £200m bid update – pundit
Liverpool can wait until January to replace Mohamed Salah and should accept a big money Saudi offer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton said offers of £150million or more are too good to turn down given Salah’s age.
The 31-year-old has two years remaining on his Anfield contract after penning an extension last summer.

Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have already seen an initial bid of £100m – rising to £150m with add-ons – rejected before the English transfer window shut on Friday (1 September).
Football Insider revealed (2 September), that Liverpool are expecting the club to return with an improved offer for Salah worth £200m before their window closes on Thursday (7 September).
After their initial offer was turned down, Al Ittihad are believed to have received some encouragement from the attacker’s camp that he is willing to join.
When asked if the Reds could really turn down a big money offer for Salah, Hutton told Football Insider: “You have to remember what he has done for the club.
“He has been outstanding in terms of goals and assists and everything that he has brought to the team.

“I just think that he is 31 now, for as good as he has been, if you get offered £200m it is very difficult to turn that down, especially if he is the one who would like to go.
“If Salah wants to listen to the offer and Liverpool can get £200m, that is good business. Even if they have to wait until January to get a replacement, I think they have got players there to cope with it at this moment in time.“
