Brentford 'ready' to accept Liverpool's 'huge' offer

Brentford are ready to lose Kevin Schade for the right price amid growing interest form both Liverpool and Arsenal.

Premier League giants have been alerted to the 24-year-old's quality follownig his excellent start to the season where he has scored three goals in his first five games.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been long-term admirers of the winger, but could be tempted to accelerate their interest in January as a result of his recent performances.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that, while Brentford ideally would like to keep Schade at the club, they are prepared to see him move on.

That would see the Germany international follow in the footsteps of the likes of Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney, all of whom have been sold in recent years.

Brentford's model of selling players for high prices and replacing them with previously unknown options has proved fruitful, and Liverpool could now take advantage of that.

Will Liverpool make a move to sign Kevin Schade?

Brown told Football Insider on 28 September that Liverpool are plotting a move to sign Schade and have had scouts keeping a close eye on his performances this season.

Performances like his two-goal display against Bournemouth earlier this month are believed to have alerted his suitors, with the Reds firmly among them.

Now, there is a growing belief he could be lured away from Brentford if the price is right, despite suggestions elsewhere that they would look to block any approaches.

"Brentford have an excellent record when it comes to selling players," Brown told Football Insider.

"It's something they run the club based on, they can bring players in for cheap fees, sell them on, and then more often than not they already have a replacement lined up.

"I don't expect them to behave any different when it comes to Schade's future when you look at players they've lost in the past; Mbeumo, Wissa, Toney.

"If Liverpool or Arsenal come in with a huge offer for Schade, then I expect Brentford will take it, and they'll already know the player who they want to come in and replace him.

"In an ideal world, of course they'd keep their best players, but they realsie that's not the market they opperate in so they're always ready to sell players for the right price."

Could Schade stay at Brentford after all?

Brentford have long proven capable of overseeing major changes in their squad with little to no impact on their results, even when losing some of their best players.

Schade would be expected to be no different, and there is a feeling he could move on for the right price, but it is also far from a certainty that he will be allowed to leave.

Brown told Football Insider on 1 October that Brentford have opened contract talks with Schade and are hopeful of reaching an agreement in the near future.

That will secure the player's long-term future in West London and mean that any future approaches from the likes of Liverpool will have to be at an even higher fee.

Despite suggestions that they could be tempted to sell as they have done with star players previously, Keith Andrews views the Germany international as a key part of his plans.
