Liverpool winger Kieran Morrison is a target for Bristol City and Wolfsburg on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

Morrison has impressed during pre-season after joining the Reds' first-team on their tour of the USA.

He proved his quality to Andoni Iraola by netting his first goal for the senior team in a friendly against Sunderland, going on to start against Leeds a week later.

The Reds boss is weighing up Morrison's next move, with Bristol City and Wolfsburg joining the queue of clubs to register their interest in taking him on loan for the season ahead.

Michael Skubala is keen to add more depth to his forward line as the Robins aim to stage another Championship play-off push.

Morrison has caught the eye of several sides at home and on the continent, so they will have to move quickly to secure a deal if he is allowed out on loan.

Kieran Morrison could join Bristol City for his first senior loan spell

Morrison was part of Man United's academy before joining Liverpool's setup at under-14 level, going on to sign his first professional contract with the club in February 2024.

He has scored regularly at several youth levels for the Reds, with 14 strikes in 19 Premier League 2 appearances for their under-21s last season.

Morrison made his senior Liverpool debut in October 2025 during their Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace, and made another first-team appearance in a March FA Cup win against Wolves.

The 19-year-old, who primarily plays on the right wing, also made his international bow for Northern Ireland in June during a friendly win against Guinea.

Bristol City will feel that they can offer him regular minutes in one of the most competitive leagues in the world, but sources have revealed to Football Insider that Eredivisie side Groningen are also keen on Morrison as it stands.

Bradley Barcola to Liverpool update reveals new twist

Bradley Barcola stumbling block could affect Morrison's move

It is no secret that Liverpool are looking to complete a big-money move for PSG star Barcola this summer.

He has remained on their radar for several months, but sources have revealed to Football Insider that Liverpool's attempts to sign Barcola are failing as they are not matching PSG's hefty valuation of his services.

The Frenchman is unlikely to sign until a compromise is met, meaning more places are available on either wing as it stands.

Morrison could well remain a part of Iraola's plans until he has signed either Barcola or another top winger, which may not be until late in the window.
