Liverpool and Andoni Iraola are laying the groundwork for a flurry of late transfers during the summer transfer window, Football Insider understands.

The new manager's arrival, plus the 2026 World Cup, will delay some new arrivals going into the 2026-27 campaign but a late "blitz" is still expected.

Mohamed Salah is soon set to follow Ibrahima Konate and Arne Slot through the exit door, with the Egyptian's contract expiring at the end of the month.

With Victor Munoz now announced at Anfield, Football Insider can reveal that two new attackers, one central midfielder, one left-back and one right-back are also on the club's wishlist.

Despite supporters suggesting that more defensive additions are needed, the Merseyside giants kicked off their summer spending by hijacking Newcastle United's deal for Munoz of Osasuna.

Iraola's arrival is unlikely to have a major effect on the club's transfer plans despite reports even mentioning that he could raid his former Bournemouth side for star players.

Which players could be signed for Liverpool's priority positions?

With Salah set to leave, and Hugo Ekitike sidelined likely until January, it is clear as to why the Reds want to improve the current frontline.

Alexander Isak will need as much support as possible in the final third, and Liverpool are pushing extremely hard to sign RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande.

Iraola's side have already had an £86m bid knocked back for the Ivory Coast international, so attention could turn to different positions.

Adam Wharton, Lamine Camara, another Newcastle target, and Alex Scott are all being considered, but reinforcing the full-back positions is problematic.

Denzel Dumfries has already joined Real Madrid, ruling him out of a move to the Premier League, so it may be that the Cherries suffer another loss here.

Which Bournemouth players could Andoni Iraola target?

There is a huge concern that several stars could also walk through the exit doors, with one of them being star forward Eli Kroupi Junior.

He netted 13 goals in his first season in England, and given the Reds' priority positions, a move for Adrien Truffert wouldn't be surprising in the slightest.

Liverpool are not the only team targeting Scott, with Manchester United possibly the strongest-linked club when it comes to the England international.

In the final third, Rayan is also attracting plenty of attention, having only arrived from Vasco de Gama in January, and he might suit the right flank at Anfield.
