Liverpool odds-on favourites to complete sensational Bradley Barcola deal
Liverpool have been newly installed as the odds-on favourites to complete a sensational swoop for Bradley Barcola this summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old winger has rejected a new contract from PSG, which has heightened speculation that he could leave the club this summer.
Andoni Iraola’s side are believed to be extremely interested in signing the France international, who registered 20 goal contributions last season.
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Liverpool will have to pay a Premier League record fee for Barcola, which could be in the region of £140million.
Nevertheless, one UK bookmaker believes it is increasingly likely that a deal is done, with the odds now being slashed down to 1/5.
Liverpool have been chasing an additional winger throughout the transfer window as they look to reclaim the Premier League title once more.
How good is Bradley Barcola?
Given that the winger could become one of the most expensive players of all time, his stats are obviously excellent.
The winger helped PSG win the quadruple last season, and went on to be one of the best players at the 2026 World Cup as well.
According to Fotmob on 27 July, Barcola’s stats were brilliant in Ligue 1 last season.
Overall, he was averaging 0.57 goals, a 0.56 xG, 3.45 shots, 1.59 shots on target, a 0.23 xA, 1.95 chances created and 1.85 successful dribbles per 90 minutes.
Given that he is only 23 years old, these are likely to improve further as his career develops.
Therefore, Liverpool will be hoping that they can secure a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who can play a key role in the starting XI for years to come if they do agree on a fee with PSG for Barcola.
Who else are Liverpool looking to sign?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Liverpool are prepared to join the race for Roma star Manu Kone.
The Reds have reportedly been scouting the France international, who had an impressive 2026 World Cup.
The Roma midfielder has now emerged amongst Liverpool’s leading targets this transfer window.
However, the Merseysiders will have to compete with Manchester United for his signature, with their Premier League rivals also interested in securing a summer swoop.
