Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai reacts to Justin Kluivert Bournemouth announcement

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has shown his support for Justin Kluivert following the latest update on the Bournemouth attacker.

Kluivert enjoyed an excellent month in January, scoring five goals and providing two assists in four Premier League appearances.

That included a hat-trick for Kluivert as Bournemouth thrashed Newcastle 5-1 at St James’ Park, with Andoni Iraola’s side mounting a strong push for European football.

That has now led to some significant recognition for the Cherries attacker, and Szoboszlai is one Liverpool player who has reacted to that.

Liverpool man reacts to Premier League award

On Friday (7 February), it was announced that the 25-year-old’s form in that period had seen him named Premier League Player of the Month for January.

Not surprisingly, Kluivert was quick to take to Instagram to send a message to Bournemouth supporters in response to winning that award.

Among those to respond to that was Szoboszlai, with the Liverpool midfielder liking that post from the attacker in recognition of his achievement.

Justin Kluivert could be transfer option for Arne Slot

Szoboszlai has often been seen interacting with another Bournemouth player, Milos Kerkez, on social media amid rumours linking the left-back with a move to Liverpool.

As a result, this latest interaction may now drum up talk of a potential interest from Anfield as well, given Arne Slot’s side may soon need attacking reinforcements.

Newcastle though have also been linked with Kluivert, so such a move could generate something of a transfer battle this summer.

The presence of so many attacking options at Anfield, including the likes of Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz makes the Dutch forward less of a need than Kerkez may be as Andy Robertson nears the end of his stellar career.

But with Darwin Nunez infamously inconsistent and superstar Mohamed Salah’s future with the Reds still uncertain as the end of his contract approaches in the summer it may be necessary for Slot to target attacking reinforcements sooner rather than later.

And on current evidence he will be adding from a position of enviable strength as the former Feyenoord boss’ debut season currently has him on course for the quadruple that eluded Jurgen Klopp.
