‘Lost the plot’, ‘Nonsense’, ‘Deluded’ – Celtic fans livid over claim made by Rangers chief King
Celtic fans on Twitter are livid over a claim made by Rangers chief Dave King in a press conference on Monday.
The Gers chairman has claimed, as reported by the Daily Record, that the Hoops would fold like a ‘pack of cards’ as soon as the Gers won their first Scottish Premiership title since 2011.
King has made the claim even though the Light Blues seem miles behind the Hoops both on and off the park, as the Bhoys recently clinched their seventh consecutive league title with a 5-0 win over the Ibrox side, which was their third win over their bitter rivals in two months.
King’s comments have went down badly with fans in the East End of Glasgow, with one claiming that his comments were ‘a diversion’ from all the problems happening at Ibrox, whilst another claimed that King had ‘lost the plot’.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to King’s remarks:
It will be interesting to see if Brendan Rodgers or anyone else connected with the Hoops responds to King’s comments, which have no doubt got the publicity that he was after.
It is far more likely that the Hoops will elect to keep silent though, and concentrate on beating the Ibrox side where it matters – on the park, which they have been doing regularly in the last few seasons.
