Lucas Bergvall set for early Tottenham return as new details emerge
Lucas Bergvall could be back sooner than expected in a huge boost to Tottenham’s new interim manager Igor Tudor.
As per a report from Fotboll Direkt in Sweden, Bergvall could be back in action in the next six weeks following the removal of a protective boot which he had been wearing.
Bergvall could be back for Sweden’s match against Ukraine in March, and therefore returning to Spurs after the next international break.
It was believed that Bergvall would not be able to play any part against Ukraine, but now the 20-year-old could be involved.

Lucas Bergvall to miss big Tottenham fixtures
Bergvall is still expected to miss the next five Spurs fixtures, including a north London derby against Arsenal and a trip to Liverpool.
The 20-year-old has already missed the previous five fixtures after being forced off in a 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in January.

Spurs are suffering an injury crisis, with many key players set to be missing for the north London derby next.
Whilst Bergvall has started only 10 Premier League games for the club this season, the Sweden international is seen as one of the club’s brightest prospects for the future.
The midfielder could play a greater role next season with Yves Bissouma out of contract and expected to leave the club in the summer, and Joao Palhinha is set to return to Bayern Munich when his loan spell ends.

Tottenham battle with Arsenal for Germany star
Spurs could look to add to their midfield in the summer transfer window, with Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka set to be available on a free.
Arsenal are also interested in Goretzka and will compete with their rivals for the 31-year-old’s signature.

Spurs though could fail in a move due to the prospect of having no Champions League football on offer next season.
The only way that Spurs could qualify for next season’s Champions League is by winning this year’s competition for the very first time in their history.
The club came fourth in the league phase table under Thomas Frank, meaning they are safely though to the last 16 without the need of a play-off tie.
