Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus to both leave West Ham – expert
Lucas Paqueta will leave West Ham this summer, with an exit for Mohammed Kudus also on the cards at the London Stadium.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Hammers striker Frank McAvennie insisted that he believes both Paqueta, 26, and Kudus, 23, will leave East London at the end of the season amid heavy transfer interest.
However, McAvennie implored the attackers to stay and see how they adapt to Julen Lopetegui’s style after he takes over from David Moyes at the end of the season.
This comes after Paul Robinson told Football Insider that he expects West Ham to be tested with bids.
Football Insider reported that transfer fees received for both Paqueta and Kudus will go straight into a transfer war chest for reinvestment.
Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus tipped to quit West Ham
Given interest from the likes of Manchester City in the Brazilian in particular, it may prove a tough test for West Ham to hold on to their star players.
McAvennie explained that it would be “massive” for West Ham if lose both players this summer, but he would be fine with it if they wanted to go.
“It would be massive. He [Paqueta] is going to go anyway, him and Kudus, we know that,” he told Football Insider.

“If Paqueta wants to go, fine. I like him, he’s a wonderful talent. Kudus as well. I would like to see them stay another year and let the new manager have a try.
“We know who it is, just give him a try. It [his style of play] might be right up their street.”
