Lucas Paqueta now lined up for record-shattering transfer away from West Ham
Lucas Paqueta has been regularly linked away from West Ham in recent weeks after a poor 2025-26 campaign to date.
West Ham are seemingly destined for the Championship, with the Hammers seven points from safety.
As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo is linked with an early exit at the London Stadium, in what has been a nightmare few months at the East London club.
However, it is not only the manager who could depart, with Paqueta now linked with a record-breaking move to Flamengo, despite his mixed performances for the Hammers this season.

Flamengo prepare £30.3m offer for Lucas Paqueta deal
According to The Telegraph on 15 January, Flamengo are prepared to offer £30.3million for Paqueta, who is desperate to return to his homeland.
The Brazilian side are attempting to meet with West Ham to discuss a deal, and they are confident that a deal can be finalised, with personal terms not set to be an issue.
Flamengo is also expected to raise their offer to £34.7m, which may tempt the Hammers into a sale, with Paqueta’s contract expiring next year.

West Ham are happy to sell the midfielder as long as they can keep him on loan until the end of the season.
If a deal is struck, it is likely to break the transfer record in the Brazilian Serie A, which currently stands at £23.43m, when Gerson joined Cruzeiro earlier this month.
Can West Ham survive without Paqueta?
Whether West Ham stay up this season or not, departing with Paqueta will be a huge loss for the Hammers.
Despite Paqueta’s struggles this season, the midfielder has still managed to produce some impressive stats.
According to Fotmob on 15 January, Paqueta has been averaging 0.24 goals and a 0.17 xG per game in the Premier League.
