Lucas Perri will rage at Daniel Farke after heroics in Leeds win vs Birmingham
Lucas Perri is likely to be seething with Daniel Farke due to his comments after his Leeds team won away at Birmingham City on penalties on Sunday.
The Premier League side were given a scare by their Championship hosts in the FA Cup, as they were taken the distance by their lower-ranking opponents.
Lukas Nmecha had put the visitors ahead just four minutes after the half-time interval, but Patrick Roberts’ late equaliser saw the game end 1-1, before the extra 30-minute period also failed to find a winner.
Farke’s side ultimately triumphed from the spot to book their place in the fifth round, and Perri was the star of the show, as he saved two Birmingham kicks to seal the victory for his team.

Lucas Perri to question Daniel Farke demands amid post-match reveal
Perri’s performance on Sunday saw him make a big statement after being dropped from the starting XI in recent weeks.
The Brazilian has seen himself named on the bench for the Whites frequently of late, as Farke has opted to start with veteran goalkeeper Karl Darlow between the posts since the early part of January.
Perri’s displays have come under fire from fans at times since his move from Lyon last summer, but he was at his best at St Andrew’s on Sunday, as he made four crucial saves during the game, and a further two stops in the shootout.
He would have been hoping for his efforts to prove to his manager that he is deserving of a start in next weekend’s clash against Aston Villa, but that doesn’t appear to be the case, judging by Farke’s post-match comments.
“He (Perri) is still on the way to recover from this, and to win this momentum back. But days like this are the best in order to find his confidence back, to find his rhythm,” Farke revealed post-match, according to Leeds Live.
Perri will surely be raging with his manager’s comments, given that it seems as though he will have to do even more in order to win his shirt back.

The Leeds star was dropped on the basis of not putting in enough high-quality performances, and to then receive no reward when he performs to a high standard will surely leave him frustrated.

The writing is already on the wall for Perri at Leeds
Football Insider revealed last week that Leeds will target the addition of a new starting goalkeeper ahead of next season, in a bid to further consolidate their position in the Premier League.
Farke has identified the position as a key area for improvement, with Darlow not seen as a long-term option due to his age.
With that in mind, the writing is surely on the wall for Perri already in terms of his career at Elland Road if a new man comes in.
He is an experienced ‘keeper who has played at a very high level, and the last thing that he will want is to become like the much-maligned Illan Meslier, and struggle to get a game or secure a move away.
As a result, if Perri continues to fail to convince Farke that he is worthy of a place in the team between now and the end of the season, it would be no surprise to see him push for a move away.
