Luis Diaz, Curtis Jones react to Liverpool’s Elliott announcement after exit news
Luis Diaz and Curtis Jones have reacted to a new message from Liverpool about Harvey Elliott as talk of his potential departure from the Reds continues to emerge.
Liverpool won their second Premier League title at a canter last month, as they finished on 84 points, 10 ahead of their nearest title rivals Arsenal.
Arne Slot is making major moves in the transfer market after their success, with Florian Wirtz recently signed from Bayer Leverkusen for a hefty £116m transfer fee, while Liverpool have been linked with a move for in-demand Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
There are surely set to be a few high-profile Anfield exits soon, as a result, and Football Insider recently revealed that Elliott looks likely to leave Liverpool to join a Serie A club this summer after a campaign on the fringes.
The 22-year-old made just two league starts as Slot’s side raced to the title last term, and his future on Merseyside looks uncertain as he stars for England Under-21 at the European Championships in Slovakia.

Harvey Elliott produces semi-final heroics for England
Football Insider have revealed that Elliott is being targeted by former club Fulham this summer, while sources have also told Football Insider that Brighton are also “confident” of striking a deal for the 22-year-old Reds fringe star.
For now though, Elliott is trying to help England U21 win a successive European Championships title, and he wrote his name in lights in their semi-final against the Netherlands on Wednesday (25 June) with a superb brace to send the Young Lions through to Saturday’s (28 June) final.
Liverpool took to Instagram in the aftermath of the game to post a message about Elliott’s fine display, saying: “A special double from Harvey sends England U21s to the final” alongside a diamond and football emoji.
Their post was reacted to with likes by teammates Luis Diaz and Curtis Jones, while Wataru Endo, Tyler Morton and former Reds man Adam Lallana, who recently announced his retirement from football, all followed suit.
Elliott should leave Liverpool to join another Premier League club this summer
Football Insider verdict
Football Insider revealed in April that Elliott’s priority is to remain at Liverpool ahead of next season, but he has been frustrated with his lack of action at the club, so it certainly seems likely that he leaves soon to further his own career as the Reds spend big in the summer window.
As well as Fulham and Brighton being interested, Football Insider recently reported that fellow top-flight side Wolves are “keen” on a move for Elliott this summer, and it is believed a bid of £40million would prise him from the Merseyside outfit.
He is clearly a player in demand, and while his time at Liverpool has been one of huge success so far, he has struggled to play a major role in many of their six trophy wins since he joined the club back in 2019 from Fulham.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |

He featured just 28 times in all competitions last season, with Slot mostly choosing to stick by his trusted senior players, his minutes seem unlikely to increase much further in the new campaign, so a move away would surely benefit all parties as he looks to step up from U21 duty to the senior England set-up soon.
