Luis Diaz, Ibrahima Konate react to Dominik Szoboszlai amid Liverpool exit news

Dominik Szoboszlai took to social media as the Liverpool squad continue to enjoy their pre-season tour ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Arne Slot’s side are set to face AC Milan, Yokohama F.Marinos, and Athletic Bilbao, before opening the season with a Community Shield clash against FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace, on Sunday, 10 August.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Jarell Quansah have all sealed exits, with Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez all coming in the other direction, and more changes are expected.

Luis Diaz is heavily linked with Bayern Munich, even despite being a key member of the squad last season, while Ibrahima Konate is also expected to leave either over the coming weeks or next summer.

Football Insider understands that Real Madrid could make a £25million offer for the 26-year-old Frenchman, who has just a single season remaining on his contract at Anfield.

Liverpool squad enjoy Hong Kong pre-season tour

Taking to Instagram (22 July), Szoboszlai wrote: “Daai gaa hou [Hello everyone]! It’s great to see you, Hong Kong,” with the national flag and waving emojis, gaining likes from his teammates.

Alexis Mac Allister, Milos Kerkez, Ryan Gravenberch, and Conor Bradley all liked the player’s post, joined by exit-linked trio Harvey Elliott, Konate, and Diaz, who are all on the pre-season tour.

Speaking to Liverpool News 247 (19 July), Ian Darke said that signing Palace’s Marc Guehi would be a suitable replacement should Konate seal an exit this summer.

Arne Slot to face further squad changes this summer

Football Insider verdict

At the beginning of the summer transfer window, supporters were extremely concerned over the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, though both have penned new terms at Anfield now.

Darwin Nunez’s future at Liverpool remains up in the air, with the Uruguayan impressing during pre-season win over Preston, though the club could accept a cut-price deal, Mick Brown told Football Insider.

The most likely next exit is Elliott, with Newcastle United and Tottenham joining the race for the playmaker’s signature, Mick Brown told Football Insider.

The 22-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield, having only made two Premier League starts last season, but his Euro U21 campaign was incredible.

With five goals across the tournament, including the opener in the dramatic final win over Germany, clubs across the Premier League are lining up to sign him, and he likely has a pick of the bunch.

It remains to be seen if he will secure an exit, and the same goes for Diaz and Konate, but if any of them are to leave, Slot will be looking to replace them as soon as possible.
