Luis Diaz: Liverpool have ‘best in the world’ after latest signing confirmed – pundit

Liverpool have the best and most exciting attack in the world after the club confirmed the signing of Luis Diaz from Porto.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ new star.

Liverpool announced the capture of Diaz on Sunday (30 January).

He joins Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota in a stacked Liverpool attack.

Kenny insists Jurgen Klopp now has the most exciting attack in the world at his disposal.

“I mean, wow, look at those options,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“That’s got to be the best and most exciting attack in world football.”

“Salah is obviously incredible then Mane and Firmino are the others who always contribute.

“Jota has been playing out of his skin this season as well. Now you have Diaz as well.

“Who does Klopp pick for Liverpool’s next game? I suspect Diaz will be brought in slowly.

“It sounds like the plan was to sign him in the summer but obviously Liverpool had to act now to beat Tottenham.

“So maybe he might have a smaller role but you never know, if he scores on his debut, for example, then he has to play.

“It’s such an exciting signing and I can’t wait to see how he does.”

Liverpool

Football Insider revealed on Friday (28 January) the Merseyside giants offered an initial £37.5million plus £12.5m of add-ons for Diaz.

The forward is with Colombia for their World Cup qualifiers and he could play when his country face Argentina on Tuesday (1 February).
