Luis Diaz: Pundit makes ‘definite’ claim about new Liverpool star after what he’s seen
Luis Diaz has only played a handful of matches for Liverpool but one expert has seen enough to be convinced he will score “loads” of goals before the end of the season.
Former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, is in no doubt about the capabilities of the £50million January signing from Porto.
Diaz, 25, has scored once during his five Liverpool appearances after joining the club in January.

His sole strike came against Norwich in Saturday (19 February).
After bagging his first goal in Liverpool red, McAvennie is backing Diaz to score plenty more before the season finishes.
“I’m striker, trust me, he will score loads before the end of the season,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has come in and, from what I have seen, off the ball and stuff that goes unnoticed, immediately looked confortable playing alongside Salah and Mane.
“Just think how good he is going to be when he starts to learn the language and gets properly settled.
“He will be unstoppable. To come into any new side can be hard but when you have a side like Liverpool with an established front three like thar it looks even harder.
“You have to credit him for the way he has come in and he’s already starting games.
“I know Salah is the man to put them away at the moment but I can defintely see Diaz getting a few more before the season is out.”

Liverpool beat Norwich 6-0 on Wednesday night though Diaz failed to get on the scoresheet.
Liverpool are next in action in the League Cup final on Sunday (27 February).
In other news, Reds could sign the next Mohamed Salah after an ‘exceptional’ update.
