Luis Diaz responds online as Liverpool confirm another new signing
Luis Diaz was quick to react online after Liverpool confirmed another new arrival in the transfer window.
The Reds have been extremely active so far this summer, with three major signings already through the door to strengthen the first team.
Liverpool secured a club-record deal to land Florian Wirtz, who followed his former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong in joining the club.
They also brought an end to the long-running Milos Kerkez saga, officially announcing his signing earlier this week.
However, it hasn’t all been about incomings at Anfield, with departures leaving gaps to fill.
Caoimhin Kelleher sealed a move to Brentford, while Vitezslav Jaros joined Ajax on loan — leaving Liverpool short on options in the goalkeeping department.
The club wasted no time addressing the issue, announcing another new signing to help bolster their ranks between the sticks.

Liverpool confirm Freddie Woodman signing
With two goalkeepers already leaving Anfield this summer, Liverpool have wasted no time in securing a new addition to boost their goalkeeping ranks.
The Reds confirmed on 27 June that they have signed Freddie Woodman following the expiry of his contract with Preston North End.
Diaz was quick to engage with the announcement on Instagram, giving the post a like, along with former Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.
The 28-year-old made 138 appearances during his three-year spell at Preston, where he was named the club’s Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
The former England youth international also brings experience from his time with Newcastle, Kilmarnock and Swansea, offering valuable depth to Liverpool’s squad.
Football Insider previously revealed that Manchester United were also in talks to sign Woodman, but Liverpool moved quicker to finalise the deal and secure his signature.

Luis Diaz future takes fresh twist amid Barcelona interest
While Diaz was active on social media celebrating Liverpool’s latest signing, speculation around his own future has continued to swirl.
The Colombian winger has just two years remaining on his current contract, and Football Insider reported earlier this month that Liverpool could sell Diaz but would only consider a sale if he made it clear he wanted to leave.
Barcelona had expressed an interest in bringing Diaz to La Liga, but their initial approach was firmly rejected by Liverpool. The Spanish giants now appear to be turning their attention elsewhere, closing in on a deal to sign Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams.
If Barcelona complete the Williams deal, it would almost certainly rule out a move for Diaz this summer, providing a major boost for Liverpool and offering greater clarity around the winger’s future at Anfield.
