Lyon to accept Premier League bid for ‘extraordinary’ Pavel Sulc – here’s how much he’ll cost
Premier League clubs are reportedly tracking the progress of Lyon forward Pavel Sulc ahead of a potential summer move.
The forward has scored 13 goals and provided seven assists since he was signed from Czech team Viktoria Plzen in the summer.
According to Fichajes, Premier League teams have taken notice and are now weighing up a move for the 25-year-old.
Lyon signed Sulc for a reported fee worth up to around £8.5million, but they would look for closer to £35m if they were to sell this summer.
The Czechia international, who has netted five goals in his last six Ligue 1 games, has also featured on the wings and in a deeper position at the head of the midfield.
Premier League clubs track Pavel Sulc
With a low centre of gravity and superb technical ability, Sulc has taken Ligue 1 by storm since completing his move to Lyon.
The striker is strong enough to hold off his defender, and good enough to take them on as well.
| Pavel Sulc | Ligue 1 2025-26 |
| Appearances | 20 |
| Goals | 10 |
| Assists | 3 |
| Chances created | 14 |
| Successful dribbles | 14 |
He would appear a perfect fit for the Premier League, should he make the move this summer.
Fichajes reports that Lyon are in no hurry to sanction Sulc’s sale, however. The French giants are third in the top flight and are looking to hold off Marseille in their battle for Champions League football.
But an attractive offer could tempt Lyon in the summer. The forward could easily return quadruple the money he was signed for.
They will be aware that the Premier League is where that fee is most likely to come from, although Sulc appears to be drumming up interest across the continent.
What the Czech national team manager has said about Sulc will excite fans
Sulc made his international debut in 2024, under the management of Ivan Hasek. He has gone on to be capped 18 times, and will play next month’s World Cup qualification play-off against Ireland.
Miroslav Koubek was appointed in December and is yet to select a squad, but he has already spoken highly of Sulc.
Speaking about the striker, he said: “He is a player of extraordinary qualities. He has adapted to French football brilliantly and has managed to establish himself in it.
“It’s not a surprise to me. Pavel is playing great and hopefully he will be healthy and in the same form at the end of March.”
