Maksim Paskotsi: Insider shares Tottenham stance on selling starlet with fans ‘panicking’
Tottenham are “really impressed” with Maksim Paskotsi and he has a big future with the club.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Paskotsi, 19, captained Tottenham’s Under 23 side as they were beaten 7-1 by Liverpool’s Under 23s on Saturday (12 March).
It was his first appearance for the youth side since 23 October, with Wenham claiming Covid is to blame for his layoff.
He also insists Spurs have no plans to sell the youngster despite the fears of worried fans.
“Paskotsi returned to the side which was great to see,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s had Covid and it has taken him a long time to recover and get back which we have heard happen with other players.
“A lot of people have been asking me where he is on social media and some people have been panicking over why he’s been left out.
“I would remind any worried fans that Paskotsi has a contract until 2023 so any departure this summer would be on our terms anyway.
“From what I’m told, Tottenham are really impressed with Maksim and that’s why he was straight back in with the armband when he was available.”

Paskotsi joined the club from Estonian outfit FC Flora in the summer of 2020 and has featured heavily for Spurs’ various youth sides.
He is already a regular for the Estonia national side and made his senior Spurs debut this season in the qualifying rounds of the Europa Conference League.
