Malik Tillman ‘definitely in Rangers talks’ as he heads back to Glasgow – expert

Alan Hutton is “sure” Malik Tillman held talks with Rangers when he returned to Glasgow at the weekend.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender insisted Tillman will have spoken to Michael Beale over his long-term future at Ibrox when he returned to Glasgow for the PFA Scotland awards on Sunday (14 May).

The 20-year-old was at the event in Glasgow where he was awarded young player of the year, as voted for by his Scottish football colleagues.

The midfielder spent the season on loan at Rangers but returned to parent club Bayern Munich earlier this month after picking up a season-ending injury.

The Gers have the option to make Tillman’s loan permanent but speaking to Sky Sports (14 May), the USA international said the chances of him joining the Glasgow club are “50/50”.

When asked if Rangers fans can read into the fact that Tillman was back in Glasgow, Hutton told Football Insider:He flew back after the injury but you know what it is like when you are a loan player,

You might have a rented property, you need to sort things out.

He will have definitely had talks with the club. I am pretty sure he would have had conversations with Michael Beale.

The award is something you do not want to miss out on, he has put in a lot of hard graft this season so I think he did deserve it.

I am pretty sure there will have been talks going on to see where his future lies.
