Man City 115 charges: Stefan Borson drops update today after ‘tip-off’
Manchester City’s 115 charges hearing will likely finish by Tuesday after the closing arguments started this week.
That is the view of former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider both parties will be given two to three days to present the key points of their case to the panel.
Man City were dealt the charges by the Premier League in February 2023 for allegedly breaching the financial fair play (FFP) rules over a nine-year period between 2009 and 2018.
An independent commission hearing into the 115 charges started on 16 September and paused towards the end of November to provide both parties’ legal teams time to prepare their closing arguments.
The Lawyer’s Christian Smith reported on 4 December the closing arguments have now started after posting a photo of the Premier League’s barristers, Andrew Hunter KC and Adam Lewis KC, returning to the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London.

Borson revealed Man City and the Premier League will then wait for the panel’s verdict once the hearing comes to an end.
“They will have prepared a written closing argument,” Borson told Football Insider.
“That will probably be 25 to 50 pages I would think, referencing the key documentation that they rely upon.
“That document is to really reinforce the key points of their case, and that’s on both sides.
“I would think that they would present and walk through those closing arguments in oral form for maybe two or three days each.
“If they started those closings this week and the pictures are from Wednesday, I assume that was tipped off and that was the start.

“Maybe they did Wednesday and Thursday on one side. They might have sat on Friday, but maybe not.
“They would then finish off on maybe Monday or Tuesday next week, and then that probably is it.
“They will then wait for the determination of the panel.”
