Man City ace Jack Grealish caught ‘liking’ controversial post after shock defeat
Man City star Jack Grealish ‘liked’ Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones’ post on social media after their humiliating 4-1 Champions League defeat to Sporting CP on Tuesday (November 5).
Grealish, 29, has missed City’s last five games after picking up a knock in training ahead of their 5-0 Champions League win over Sparta Prague on matchday three.
Their latest European outing didn’t quite go as planned, however, with incoming Man United manager Amorim getting the best of Pep Guardiola to inflict a third consecutive defeat upon the Premier League champions.
This was a huge shock given City’s all-conquering campaigns in Europe across so many seasons.
Fellow England international Phil Foden got the visitors off to a flying start, opening the scoring after just four minutes.
Clinical Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres had other ideas, bagging a hattrick, including two penalties, to secure all three points for the Portuguese champions.

The only other English team playing on Tuesday were Liverpool, who had a decidedly better evening, beating German champions Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 at Anfield.
Delighted with their victory, Jones, 23, took to Instagram to let fans know he had ‘Another good night in the Champions League’, which Grealish liked.
Given he did so on a night when his own side were thrashed in Europe’s biggest competition, this will be seen by many observers as a controversial move.
Jones is starting to come into his own under new manager Arne Slot, providing an assist for Luis Diaz’s first goal with opened the floodgates for Liverpool.
Liverpool leapfrogged Man City to the top of the Premier League table after the current Champions’ shock 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday (November 2).
