Man City ‘agree Omar Marmoush terms’ as deal finalised – Stefan Borson
Manchester City strengthened their negotiating position for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush after agreeing a deal with the player first.
That is the view of former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider he expects the Premier League champions to complete the signing this month.
Marmoush is understood to have already agreed terms with Man City over a January move to the Etihad despite the two clubs being apart in their valuations after talks have taken place.
Frankfurt are believed to be looking for a fee in the region of £67million, while Pep Guardiola’s side want to pay closer to £50million for the 25-year-old.
Man City are looking to add the Egypt international to their side after he’s registered 19 goals and eight assists in 25 appearances this season, including the winner against St. Pauli on Saturday.

Borson believes the gap in valuations for the striker can easily be breached with potential add-ons.
“They have done the usual thing of getting the player on board first,” Borson told Football Insider.
“As we understand it, the player has told Frankfurt he wants to go, and he only wants to go to City. We know when that happens the clubs have two approaches.
“They can either play hardball and let him go in the summer or they can accept the player’s stance and, if they go for the latter, then clearly City’s negotiating position is strengthened.
“Even the numbers talked about are not too difficult to breach with a couple of add-ons and contingent fees.
“I think for a forward particularly, you would think that deal is something that could be done if City were keen enough, and it appears that they are.
“Some of the noise coming out from the journalists in Germany was that Frankfurt were not prepared to sell under any circumstances before the summer, so we will see.
“But I would think that is a deal that will probably get done.”
