Man City backed to sign Rodri replacement after source’s reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has insisted Man City will have a replacement ready if Rodri leaves in the summer.
But, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said Pep Guardiola’s recent team choices have been strange.
On Monday (6 February), Football Insider revealed that City are concerned that the 26-year-old could push for a summer move to Barcelona.

The Spain international has been targeted by the Catalan giants as they weigh up potential successors to Sergio Busquets for the midfield anchorman role.
The Sky Blues believe Rodri may wish to return to his homeland at some stage as he plots the next stage in his career.
The Spaniard’s current deal runs until 2027 and it will take a big fee to drag him away from the Etihad.
When asked if Guardiola is letting too many of his important players go, Hutton told Football Insider:
“It depends what plans he has got and who he can bring in,” he told Football Insider.
“The whole situation at the moment in time surrounding Man City, we do not know what is going to happen with them long term.
“[Joao] Cancelo was a little bit strange but I am not going to question what Pep is doing.

“When you look from the outside, [Rico] Lewis coming in, [Kyle] Walker not really playing, [Kevin] De Bruyne not playing, Cancelo being allowed to leave. You wonder what is going on.
“I always think he has got a plan and there is always players that are going to want to go to Man City. I am sure if something like that did happen he would have a replacement ready to go.“
