Man City could be about to sell Ilkay Gundogan as well as 28-year-old teammate – Agbonlahor

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Man City could lose Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa striker said that if both players want to leave, Pep Guardiola won’t stop them.

As relayed by The Telegraph (17 May), Paris Saint-Germain are keen on Silva and are exploring a possible move in the summer window.

Teammate Gundogan has also been attracting a lot of interest ahead of the upcoming window with Spanish giants Barcelona the favourites to land the 32-year-old.

The Germany international’s current contract at the Etihad expires at the end of the season but Guardiola is believed to be keen to keep hold of his captain for the 2023-24 campaign.

Silva, 28, will have two years left on his City contract at the end of the current season after he joined from Monaco in 2017.

When asked if Guardiola would be willing to let the pair leave in the summer, Agbonlahor told Football Insider:I do not think he will let both of them go,

But one thing I do know is that Pep Guardiola will not stand in anyone’s way.

Man City

If they want to leave he will let him leave. He is not the sort of manager that is selfish, he does not want players there who do not want to be there.

If Gundogan and Bernardo Silva want to leave Pep will not stand in their way and he would got and get replacements.
