Man City Exclusive: Pep Guardiola’s Oscar Bobb plan revealed after ‘big’ news

Man City attacker Oscar Bobb is set to become key to the future plans of Pep Guardiola, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed the 20-year-old will enjoy increased responsibilities at the Etihad Stadium as he closes in on a new contract.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (21 February) that Bobb is in advanced talks over a new deal at Man City.

Sources say the Norway international is set to receive a “big-money” pay rise on his previous agreement.

Guardiola is a big fan of the attacker – who is highly regarded in the corridors of power at Man City.

Guardiola’s Bobb plan revealed – Man City chiefs are ‘thrilled’ with the 20-year-old

It is believed City are thrilled with his progress so far in the 2023-24 campaign and the player himself is more than happy to pledge his future to the club.

Bobb only made his senior debut in September 2023 but is now one of the first ports of call for Guardiola from the substitutes’ bench.

He scored a vital winner as a sub against Newcastle last month and got his first Premier League start in the win over Brentford earlier this week (20 February).

The 20-year-old, whose talent has been compared favourably to Phil Foden at the same age, has now made 16 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, notching two goals and two assists.

Bobb made his senior international debut for Norway in October 2023 and notched his first goal in a friendly against the Faroe Islands in November.

He now has four caps for his country but will not play at this summer’s European Championships – with Norway and Erling Haaland failing to qualify for the tournament.

In other news, Guardiola privately names the only Man United star good enough to play for Man City.
