Man City fans slaughter Manuel Akanji after his display in 3-2 win vs Fulham

Man City fans savaged Manuel Akanji for his individual performance during their latest Premier League outing against Fulham.

The defending Premier League champions came from behind to defeat Fulham 3-2 after a brace from Mateo Kovacic and a goal from Jeremy Doku to continue their undefeated start to the season.

However, supporters weren’t impressed by Akanji’s performance throughout the game.

The 29-year-old was tested by Raul Jimenez throughout the match and Pep Guardiola ultimately chose to replace him in the 62nd minute.

This was the first time Akanji has been substituted this season after playing the full 90 minutes in every Premier League game beforehand.

The centre-back has been ever present in the City starting line-up, but Man City fans felt he was “poor” in this game.
