Man City have advantage over Real Madrid after ‘massive’ team news confirmed – Robinson
Paul Robinson has claimed Man City have the advantage going into the Champions League semi-finals with David Alaba and Casemiro both doubts for Real Madrid in the first leg.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said it “would be a massive blow” to the La Liga leaders if the duo were to miss out.
Man City welcome Real Madrid to the Etihad tonight in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
As quoted by the Daily Mail (25 April), Carlo Ancelotti revealed Alaba, 29, and Casemiro, 30, are both doubts for the clash.
Casemiro is said to be “a bigger doubt” ahead of Tuesday’s fixture.
When asked for his thoughts on the potential absences, Robinson told Football Insider: “That would be a massive blow for Real Madrid.
“They have already got their work cut out because Man City are a better side than them even though they have had a strong season.

“I still think City are the best team in Europe. I have covered a lot of European football and Man City and Liverpool are head and shoulders above the rest.
“City will have a lot of the ball and that is when you need players with the experience of Alaba and Casemiro. Defensively, they are so important to Real Madrid so if they missed out if would be a boost for City.”
