Man City have found the perfect player to fix right-back issue, signing hinges on one factor
Manchester City may have finally found the signing who will fix their long-term issues at right-back.
Pep Guardiola has struggled to fill the position in recent times, following the decline of Kyle Walker.
Walker joined Burnley over the summer, ending his eight-year spell at Man City, where he was known as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
The former England international made the right-back position his own under Guardiola, and his exit has left a big gap to fill.

Man City face huge battle to secure right-back signing
Man City are reportedly weighing up a January move for Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that the Argentine would fit perfectly into Guardiola’s system.
However, speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that it would be tough to prise Molina away from Atletico Madrid.
Wyness added that the deal hinges on whether City can convince Diego Simeone’s side to sell their defender.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I’ve been watching Atletico’s start to the season, which has been patchy to say the least. Despite their fantastic result against Real Madrid, they’ve dropped points to lower teams in three or four games now.
“They’d loathe to let Molina go. Their own defence is not settled, so I think it would be very tough to prise him away from Atletico at this stage. That’s one factor that they’d have to look at.
“Certainly, from City’s point of view, he is a quality player. Would he fit into the City system? I think he would. He’s got the athleticism, and I think he’s that sort of Pep player. But I think he’s gonna be a little bit harder to get out of Atletico than people assume.”
Man City must address right-back issue
Ever since Walker’s performances started to fade, Man City have had real issues in the right-back area.
In recent times, Guardiola has opted to play Matheus Nunes in that position, despite the fact that he is a natural midfielder.

Of course, in the Spaniard’s system, the full-backs have to be incredibly competent on the ball, as well as strong defensively.
If they are unable to bring in Molina, then City will likely look elsewhere to address the problem position.
