Man City may have already found Jack Grealish replacement – ‘Pep won’t wait around’, pundit says
Noel Whelan has claimed Man City and Pep Guardiola “won’t worry too much” about selling Jack Grealish in the coming transfer windows.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Citizens “always seem to have a replacement ready” when selling big stars.
According to Calciomercato (26 December), Man City are ready to offer Grealish, 27, to AC Milan in return for Portugal star Rafael Leao, 23.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed earlier this month (3 December) that Man City would be willing to sell their record signing in order to fund the sensational signing of Jude Bellingham in 2023.
The forward has failed to totally convince Pep Guardiola since his arrival last summer (2021), starting just seven of a possible 15 Premier League games.
He has registered seven goals and six assists since joining from Aston Villa.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Man City are not a team who worry too much about letting players go.
“We’ve seen Sterling and Jesus leave, but they always seem to have a replacement ready for what they want and what Pep wants.
“Grealish missed a hatful of chances against Leeds, but he set two goals up. With the good, comes the bad.

“He’s not playing to his best, and they’ve spent £100million on him.
“If Pep hasn’t seen enough from him, then he’s not going to wait around. He’s been more than happy to let players go who haven’t produced what he expects.”
