Man City news: Danny Mills issues Jack Grealish fight claim after source’s reveal
Danny Mills has claimed Jack Grealish and Stefan Savic would have had a fight in the Wanda Metropolitano tunnel in years gone by after Man City held Atletico Madrid to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday (13 April).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-City and England defender insisted Grealish could have no complaints with that given his actions during the game.
The 26-year-old appeared to call Savic a four-word expletive which led to his hair being pulled.
He was warming up on the side of the pitch at the time and the mass confrontation continued into the tunnel after the game.
A club source told Football Insider today (17 April) that Pep Guardiola is unhappy with Grealish as he does not want any type of ill discipline or provocative behaviour from his players.
“Jack Grealish got his hair pulled but if you are going to call people that, and we’re all aware of what he called him, back in my day, you would of said ‘I’ll wait for you in the tunnel’,” Mills told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“Let the referee disappear into his room, lock his door. You’re then away from the cameras and prying eyes so you can then deal with it.
“That’s how things used to be sorted out but it doesn’t happen anymore. Atletico are a little bit of a throwback at times.

“You’ve got to say fair play to Man City for getting through it. A lot of people were concerned that they couldn’t play like that, did they have it in them to be that resilient and without the ball for that long?
“They dug in and had to find a different way to win, which is unlike City.”
In other news, Man City have a Fernandinho replacement ‘lined up’ and two Premier League stars are on the shortlist.
